Maximize asset tracking

Article Abstract:

Electronic asset tracking and management systems can save an organization valuable amounts of time and money in terms of end-user productivity and significant cost savings. One of the systems that are available in the market includes ProxTrak from Irvine, CA-based HID, a solution that allows users to track the users of the device and whatever it is they are working on. Another system from Tivoli of Austin, TX, features a service management solution that incorporates IT management techniques.

Study points to security market growth

Article Abstract:

The physical security equipment market is expected to grow further in the coming years because of increasing concerns about workplace safety as well as improved performance from such devices and their increasing affordability. The sector, which reach a total of about $1.9 billion in 1999, is benefiting from the steady growth of the whole physical security industry. The industry, according to Frost and Sullivan, will reach $3.9 billion by 2003.
