Privacy policy statements on municipal websites

Article Abstract:

The concern for the privacy of personally identifiable information (PII) collected on governmental websites is increasing, as governments expand their use of the Internet to communicate and transact business with their constituencies. The Council for Excellence in Government has concluded that governmental agencies need to address the issue of privacy in order to realize the potential benefits of e-government.

Cobit (Control Objectives for Information and related Technology) gives the management of an agency, as well as private-sector organizations, the tools to do while considering the cost effectiveness of those controls and defines management Guidelines to help develop a plan that minimizes risk in vulnerable areas.

Purchase card use by the U.S. Government: Growth and future opportunity

Article Abstract:

The purchase card use in U.S.government and the process of building of purchase card policies is discussed in the article. The purchase card expenditure enables the government to save around $70in administrative costs for each of its 25.3 million transactions on the purchase card and thus predicts a promising growth in future.
