Rich Zeiger, adieu

Article Abstract:

Rich Zeiger's tenure as editor of California Journal has come to an end with Zeiger accepting the position of vice president of APCO Associates. Zeiger positively influenced all his staff, creating an ambience conducive to journalistic endeavor. Under his guidance, California Journal continued on its traditional path providing in-depth analysis of issues, elections and personalities. The Journal's coverage of politics improved due to Zeiger's writing and his assignment of important pieces to freelance writers. When the Journal merged with State Net, Zeiger introduced electronic journalism.

America on 'The Lost Highway.'

Article Abstract:

It is common for politicians and members of the media in the US to change their politics and their views to suit the prevailing social or political climate. This has been seen very clearly in the Clinton administration, which has constantly shifted from one philosophy to the next and shown little concern for ethics. In the media, some journalists do little more than disseminate their own ill-informed opinions, especially if they appear on television.
