Social security and endogenous fertility: pensions and child allowances as siamese twins

Article Abstract:

In modern societies, fertility is the endogenous cause of population growth, which implies that in addition to savings and material consumption, family size is an issue that people can decide upon. An analysis of public pensions and child support is conducted, in a model with endogenous fertility.
