The morphing economy

Article Abstract:

The economic transformation taking place in Los Angeles County, CA, heralds the economy of the 21st century as the county struggles to improve its future prospects. Los Angeles County has been in the forefront of the aerospace business until the end of the cold war when bases were closed and defense projects were scrapped. Several other businesses were affected by recession, the 1992 riots and the 1994 earthquake, causing a decline in the county's economy. However, the county is slowly recovering from past misfortunes with the development of local manufacturing.

Taking back tinseltown?

Article Abstract:

The relationship between Republicans and the Hollywood entertainment industry is improving as a result of changes in both sides' attitudes and interests. Hollywood has always supported the Democrats, since the policies of the Democrats have been in tune with its interests. However, Republicans in Hollywood are showing prominence as they find more entertainers who want a cordial relationship with the Republicans, who can influence the industry through legislation. The improved GOP cash flow from Hollywood substantiate this change in attitudes.

California's "morphing" economy

Article Abstract:

California's future economy will mirror the structural changes in the US economy, and its productive character would give way to a new industrial work ethos. Future economic scenario will see increased competition among the youth for industrial jobs, housing and social problems and an increase in foreign trade. California, because of its geographic location, will witness mass migration from neighboring areas, leading to a wide division between the social classes.
