Waste not, want not ... waste

Article Abstract:

The Midwestern Radioactive Materials Transportation Project and Northeast High-Level Radioactive Waste Transportation Project will help the Midwest and Northeast prepare for the day when a large number of shipments of highly radioactive waste will be travelling through their highways and railways to reach their final disposal facilities. Nuclear Waste Policy Act of 1982 says that the safest way to dispose radioactive waste is by deep geologic disposal.

Article Abstract:

Solar energy is increasingly being used across the United States, with households and utility companies harnessing the energy in different ways. Oregon and Arizona both passed provisions on increased renewable energy standard, which includes utilization of solar energy. Other details on state and federal support for solar energy are discussed.
