Article Abstract:

Upper management professionals must be able to anticipate the possibility of termination or demotion, as downsizing and massive lay offs continue to prevail in industries, particularly in health care management. In such cases, it is important for managers to maintain a positive outlook in life and keep one's personal integrity.
