Experts agree on this: it was a banner year for health care polls

Article Abstract:

Many public opinion polls were conducted in 1992 on the topic of health care reform, but the results do not show a clear mandate for a particular reform plan. While many people think that reform is necessary and should be accomplished soon, few understand distinctions between the various plans being proposed. The frequent polling creates fodder for television and newspapers, and media coverage in turn promotes increased awareness of the issue among the general public.
