Increasing Cash Flow with a Patient Accounting Review

Article Abstract:

The patient accounts receivable department has a great impact on the financial health of a hospital. An operations review of this area should evaluate its organizational structure, staffing, work flow, and reporting practices. The adherence to suggestions made can increase the level of accounts received and cash flow and provide more immediate funds for the hospital. A positive approach is to allow a department the option of setting up their own target dates and goals for improvement.
