A community outreach service for people with COPD

Article Abstract:

An outreach service developed in North Eastern England to offer community outreach services to patients severely disabled with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is profiled. The service promoted non-strenuous exercise, independence and increased quality of life by reducing the number of hospital stays.
