A consideration of memory in relation to information giving

Article Abstract:

A study is presented giving information to ill and anxious patients regarding the status of their health, which is one of the most skilled and difficult tasks of nursing. In the case of anxious patients there is difficulty in retaining important information and such failure can cause detrimental effects on their health.

A personal experience of being in the nursing profession is described. It is suggested that although the health service is going through reorganization in 2007, the profession is rewarding since it provides the opportunity to provide the best nursing care to people.
