A gastric band should never be given to a child

Article Abstract:

The provision of gastric bands to fat children to get rid of their obesity has become a big debatable issue, as excess of fat is extremely unhealthy and causes many hazards to the health of such people, especially children. The author suggests that obese children should be made to a lot of physical exercise with a controlled and balanced diet and shouldn't be provided with such bands, as they are unhealthy and not reliable.

Nurses are not and never will be a fount of all knowledge

Article Abstract:

The ideology of the generic nurse that Project 2000 attempted to create does not exist as nurses are not and never will be a fount of all knowledge. They may be advanced nurse practitioners or clinical nurse specialists within their own ward and field but in another area or caring for a patient with an added health problem that they are unfamiliar with, they are complete novices.
