A mission to care for children

Article Abstract:

The world's first children's hospice, Helen House, has completed 25 years in giving end-of-life care to number of children and young people with cancer. Sister Frances Dominica, an Anglican nun and a pediatric nurse, is the founder of Helen House and Douglas House in London that care for the children and young people with cancer and other terminal diseases.

Role of children's nurses set to diversify

Article Abstract:

Nursing children requires a range of special skills to ensure their patients feel secure at a frightening and confusing time and to ensure parents and carers are involved in their child's care. It is suggested that the publication of a national service framework should lead to developments in many areas of children's nursing.
