Article Abstract:

The VisiSeies of 'what-if' software has added four programs, in addition to the original VisiCalc, for use on the IBM Personal Computer. VisiFile can hold 32,000 records with record size depending on the size of memory. VisiTrend-Plot produces charts and graphs with the IBM Color Adapter on several printers. VisiDex is a filing system that allows comprehensive cross- referencing. Desktop-PLAN is a financial spreadsheet with up to 100 columns. VisiCalc, VisiFile, and VisiTrend-Plot can exchange data while preparing forecasts, budgets, and analyses.

Article Abstract:

The complex nature of providing the correct nutritional balance for patients when receiving intravenous fluids requires the expertise of a parenteral nutritional (PN) pharmacist, whose job is to ensure the correct formulation and dispensing of PN bags. Each PN bag contains a specific nutritional balance for each individual patient, although hospitals may also use pre-mixed bags which are suitable for general needs only. PN pharmacist are able to offer advice on how to store PN bags, administration techniques and nutritional requirements.
