Prevalence of factor V Leiden, prothrombin and methylene tetrahydrofolate reductase mutations in women with adverse pregnancy outcomes in Lebanon

Article Abstract:

The prevalence of factor V Leiden, prothrombin, and methylene tetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) gene mutations in Lebanese women with adverse pregnancy outcomes is compared with women who had normal pregnancies. No association is observed between prevalence of factor V Leiden, prothrombin and MTHFR gene mutations and adverse pregnancy outcomes in the otherwise healthy Lebanese women.

A systematic review of the association between factor V Leiden or prothrombin gene variant and intrauterine growth restriction

Article Abstract:

A systematic review of the literature studies examining the association between factor V Leiden and/or prothrombin gene variant and intrauterine growth restriction is discussed. Factor V Leiden and prothrombin gene variant are found to confer an increased risk of giving birth to an intrauterine growth restricted infant.
