Adjuvant radiotherapy for pathologically advanced prostate cancer: A randomized clinical trial

Article Abstract:

A randomized clinical trial is used to determine whether adjuvant radiotherapy improves metastasis-free survival in patients with pT3 NO MO prostate cancer. The results have shown that in men who have undergone radical prostatectomy for pathologically advanced prostate cancer, adjuvant radiotherapy resulted in reduced risk of prostate-specific antigen relapse and disease recurrence, although improvements in metastasis-free survival and overall survival were not statistically significant.
