Determinants of polybrominated biphenyl serum decay among women in the Michigan PBB cohort

Article Abstract:

Follow-up research indicates that the half-life of polybrominated biphenyl remaining in the body after exposure is affected by a variety of factors, including body mass index, breast-feeding duration, parity, and smoking history. The findings are based on data obtained from Michigan women exposed to polybrominated biphenyl after accidental food chain contamination in that state in 1973.
