Among women, the fragile bonds of political alliance

Article Abstract:

Criticism of women who complain about sexual harassment is doubly unsettling when it comes from other women. As a small group of women physicians met to form an ad hoc committee on women in medicine at a state medical convention, a second-year resident recounted her experience as a victim of sexual harassment. Another physician suggested that the resident was harassed because she allowed it to happen and that discussing the matter was a waste of time. The comments ended the discussion.

Political obstacles linger for nation's new family doctor

Article Abstract:

Family practitioner David Satcher has been confirmed as surgeon general of the United States, but opponents objecting to his confirmation are continuing to question his qualifications. They argue that his refusal to support a ban on late-term abortions and his participation in needle-exchange programs make him unsuitable for the position.

The risk factors for extramarital sex among Nigerian men are studied with a particular focus on polygyny and peri and postpartum abstinence.
