RNAi: Towards in vivo therapy

Article Abstract:

The laboratory study is focusing on using small interfering RNAs as small-molecule drugs in order to avoid the problems of gene therapy. It was observed that targeting HIV replication in primary macrophages with 2 small interfering RNAs resulted in synergistic suppression of the virus.

Therapeutic immunization against HIV

Article Abstract:

Results from several studies using various vectors including canarypox to increase immune responses were reviewed. A new series of studies are completed with immunogens as canarypox virus alone or in conjunction with lipopeptides.
