An evidence-based procedure for the digital removal of faeces

Article Abstract:

Digital removal of faeces is the last resort in the management of severe constipation and the only way for people with neurological impairment, which is practiced only when all the other methods of bowel evacuations fail. The procedure of the digital removal of faeces should only be undertaken when clinical justification is given and patientEs bowel management strategy should be regularly reviewed.
