Another fatal train crash, another public enquiry ...

Article Abstract:

A replacement for Tony Barrell, leader of the public enquiry into the Southall train crash is being sought. Barrell resigned due to concern that his position as non-executive director of the British Airports Authority (BAA) may compromise his role in the public enquiry. BAA is currently building an airport rail link, dubbed the Heathrow Express. Barrell had already stated that human and technological factors contributing to the crash would both be investigated.
