Antidepressant and pediatric depression - the risk of doing nothing

The details of the ill effects of using Antidepressants drugs on children and adolescents and methods to prevent them are mentioned. Food and Drugs Administration has recommended stronger warnings in labeling and better information for patients and caregivers about these drugs.

Selective publication of antidepressant trials and its influence on apparent efficacy

Article Abstract:

The effect of selective publication on apparent drug efficacy is examined. Findings reveal the possibility of adverse consequences of selective reporting of clinical trials for researchers, study participants, health care professionals, and patients.

Late-life depression

Article Abstract:

A case study of a 71-year-old man suffering from late-life depression is presented. The patient was recommended low dose trial therapy of SSRI antidepressant which should be gradually increased after tolerance monitoring if effective.
