Article Abstract:

"Want monsters" are defined as women who display a craving for material possessions and achievements but who most often remain dissatisfied. TV characters are influential in creating a desire for things outside ones means. The continual emphasis on gaining new and improved items is driving the syndrome further.

Some women are excessively selfless and would try to do anything to please everybody. These women must recognize that such behavior may actually annoy others. Thus, they need to learn to restrain themselves from going out of their way to help.

Issues are presented concerning the triggers which can cause emotional breakdown in women. The use of an outburst as a means of expressing and releasing feelings of anger is discussed. Five typical outbursts are discussed.
