Back pain: gardening without grief

Article Abstract:

Gardeners can avoid back pain by starting slowly, stretching muscles beforehand, avoiding fatigue and lifting with the legs. Using the proper tool and using correct techniques for raking and pushing a wheelbarrow are also important.

Back surgery: Coming back from pain

Article Abstract:

A small number of precise back problems are dealt with by surgery, usually accompanied by other therapy. A greater number of back conditions are dealt with by physiotherapy and can often be prevented by good body conditioning.
