Article Abstract:

Americans with private health insurances obtain their coverage through the workplace, under the terms of a convoluted federal statue that is not designed with medical care in mind. Congress passed a law known as the Employment Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) to protect workers' retirement income in the wake of a series of pension-fund scandals.

We can do better-improving the health of the American people

Article Abstract:

The analysis shows that the United States has the lowest standards of health status as compared to the other developed nations. The results suggest an immediate change in the behavioral patterns, environmental exposures and health care provision is required to improve the health of Americans.

Health care disparities- science, politics and race

Findings of racial disparity in health care are analyzed. Evidence shows that minority groups receive poorer health care than whites.
