Balance exercises: staying steady on your feet

Article Abstract:

Physical activity helps prevent a fall by promoting balance and coordination. Exercise may help maintain balancing skills to significantly reduce chances of falling. The sense of balance may be affected by medications, vision problems, Parkinson's disease, arthritis, or loss of muscle strength as a person ages. Activities which involve movement and staying on one's feet are helpful in maintaining good balance. Walking is one of the best for balance.
