People can become more relaxed through aromatherapy, or the inhalation of the aromas of essential oils. The moods of clinically depressed patients have been shown to improve after taking a bath, but not all experts believe in the therapeutic benefits of aromatherapy.

Backpacking is a great way to enjoy nature while getting exercise, and the experience can be rejuvenating. Short trips are best for beginners, and many backpacking groups, such as the Sierra Club, exist. Several resources and tips are listed.
