Behavioral surveillance: current perspectives, and its role in catalyzing action

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on behavioral surveillance systems as one of the component of the national HIV monitoring systems. The importance of translating the behavioral surveillance work into actions which would improve the national response to HIV is discussed.

Distribution of the CCR5 gene 32-base pair deletion and CCR5 expression in Chinese minorities

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on diverse ethnic population of China, where genetic differences may contribute to HIV transmission efficiency. Results demonstrate that CCR5 expression is greater in the Dai minority than in any other investigated minority.
