Benefits to families from a parent-child course

Article Abstract:

Parents can be taught to improve family relationships through projects designed to help cope with often difficult children. Living with Children courses have been run in Derbyshire, England, by the local health authority since 1994. Courses run over a period of six weeks and are primarily aimed at families with children under the age of 12. Confidence, expression and anger management are covered during the course, with parents and children being encouraged to work together. Sleeping problems and temper tantrums were the most common reasons for attending the course.
