The CD4-CD8 and CD28 expression in T cells infiltrating the vitreous fluid in patients with proliferative diabetic retinopathy is examined. T cells infiltrating the vitreous of diabetic patients show a different pattern and improve the prognosis of proliferative diabetic retinopathy.

The slitlamp, specular and light microscopic characteristics of human donor corneas after laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) are examined. Slitlamp examination indicated the presence of a flap edge in 46 percent of LASIK donor corneas.

Antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA) formation to myeloperoxidase or perinuclear (p-ANCA) is infrequent in ocular disease. Four cases of p-ANCA positivity showing a spectrum of severe ocular involvement are presented.
