Caesarean rate rising steeply

A survey by the Department of Health and National Institute for Clinical Excellence is reporting a major increase in Caesarean section birth rates. The increased rates entails all maternity units in Wales, Northern Ireland, and in England. Rates rose by sixfold for units with 20% Caesarean rates.
