Article Abstract:

There are many safety issues to take into account with regard to cutting and welding activities. Before cutting or welding, spaces must be monitored for atmospheric dangers using gas detection equipment. Gas cylinders and welding equipment must be kept outside the confined space.

Safe use and handling of mercury

Article Abstract:

The use of mercury must always be accompanied by the appropriate planning and documentation. There must be engineered controls for activities involving the use of mercury, including concrete floors sealed with epoxy and ventilation and/or vapour-containment systems.
