Can we learn a few things from Google?

Article Abstract:

Nurse leaders can relate to many of the ideals and positive outcomes of Google, the popular Internet search engine that provides a successful model for building and maintaining employee satisfaction, in turn, promoting customer satisfaction. They should advocate for a Google-like environment, which will help solve problems with recruitment and retention rates with simple strategies like flexible working schedules that are employee- and family-friendly.

The course consists of a 12-week orientation dealing with labor and delivery physiology, assessment skills, and technical skills with hands on practice along with a 4-week competence assessment by the educator

Telemetry monitoring: A preferred solution for intermediate care

Article Abstract:

An intermediate care area (ICA) or step-down unit that is a multipurpose "progressive care unit" or a single-organ subspecialty floor that is gaining wide acceptance in the nursing field is described. It provides optimal care with a lower nurse-to-patient ratio and uses simpler, less costly technology and increases patient satisfaction.
