Characteristics of recently HIV-infected men who use the Internet to find male sex partners and sexual practices with those partners

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to examine characteristics of recently HIV-infected men who had sex with men (MSM) who find sex partners through the Internet, and differences in characteristics of and sexual behaviors practiced with Internet partners as compared to other partner types. It is concluded that the Internet is a popular venue for recently HIV-infected MSM to find partners many of whom are HIV-negative, and the Internet could be a valuable target for new HIV prevention strategies by posting prevention messages.

Transmission behaviors of recently HIV-infected men who have sex with men

Article Abstract:

Study is conducted to analyze postdiagnosis behaviors of recently HIV infected men who have sex with men (MSM). A report revealed that after diagnosis some but not all recently HIV infected MSM reduced risky sexual behavior permitting potential HIV transmission.
