Confusion rules with Internet prescribing

Article Abstract:

Florida Administrative Law Judge, Daniel Manry on 10 January 2003 found that the Florida Department of Health failed to prove that RxNetwork and one of its pharmacists, Gwyneth Gordon, had endangered Florida residents, whereas he ruled that RxNetwork, of Davie, Florida had dispensed excessive quantities of controlled substances, and recommended approval of one-year probation and a $24,000 fine against RxNetwork. The conflicting rulings have raised a question on the stateEs ability to discipline pharmacies and pharmacists who prescribe online without physically examining buyers.
