Conquering clutter

Article Abstract:

A professional organizer may be needed to help physicians cope with the paperwork that sometimes threatens to disrupt the orderly course of business in a medical practice. The organizer will create a system for filing papers that are needed and discarding others. The doctor will profit from the time saved by having information readily at hand. Self-help programs can also be followed to accomplish the same objectives, according to specialists who recommend keeping a wastebasket handy when going through the mail.

Solid action plan can counter search warrant shock

Article Abstract:

The risk of search and seizure in a physician's office is increasing as health care fraud and abuse investigations are conducted by federal, state and local police. Effective responses include consulting an attorney, asking for a copy of the search warrant when authorities arrive and acting professionally and courteously. The physician should try to keep their office open.
