Curbside Consultations and the Viaduct Effect

Article Abstract:

Physicians need to study the effectiveness of the curbside consultation and decide whether it can improve medical care. These consultations are very informal ways of getting advice from physicians who are not involved in the care of a particular patient. Two 1998 studies found that these consultations were quite common, but many physicians believed that the information conveyed was incomplete or inaccurate. Because the communication is so informal and off-the-cuff, the physician who is consulted may not have adequate time to prepare a good response.

Amusement game operators are advised to carefully consider appropriate games for target audiences. Machines should be clean at all times and well-maintained.
