Dentists' participation and children's use of services in the Indiana dental Medicaid program and SCHIP

Article Abstract:

A study evaluating whether administrative changes, including higher fee schedules for dental services in the Indiana dental Medicaid program and the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) were associated with improved dentist participation and utilization of dental services by children.

Natural history of treatment outcomes of permanent first molars

Article Abstract:

The use of dental sealants in the treatment of dental caries in children at the age of six years belonging to different population group is analyzed. The introduction of treatment outcome trees (TOTs) to study the natural history of the tooth after the placement of a sealant is studied.

Teeth with large amalgam restorations and crowns

Article Abstract:

A research paper showing that after placing large amalgam restoration, if teeth received crown within one year then they were less likely to require more severe treatment in a 10-year period than those that merely received the amalgam restoration is presented.
