Diabetes, heart disease, osteoporosis: exercise isn't only prevention - now it's part of the treatment!

Article Abstract:

Many of the most common diseases associated with aging can be treated with exercise therapy. Arthritis, cardiovascular disease and Parkinson's disease are among the ailments that can be treated with exercise. The role of exercise in disease prevention is also discussed.

Going the extra mile

A personal narrative of bodybuilding is presented with emphasis on its benefits. Bodybuilding helped the author rebuild his life after a traumatic accident and diet and exercise help to control his diabetes.

The lactate shuttle

Article Abstract:

Issues concerning the production of lactic acid by bodybuilders during workout routines are presented. Whilst causing fatigue, lactic acid is also thought to fuel the brain during anaerobic activity.
