Documenting comparability of clinical experience on the obstetrics and gynecology clerkship

Article Abstract:

A process is developed that provides Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME)-required documentation of obstetric/gynecology (OB/GYN) clinical experience comparability and mid-clerkship feedback. The Clinical Activities Tools (CATs) have facilitated successful documentation of clinical experience comparability and mid-clerkship feedback and this process is feasible and might be useful for other institutions.

Characteristics of patients seen and services provided in primary care visits in obstetrics/gynecology: data from NAMCS and NHAMCS

Article Abstract:

The provision of mental health counseling and lower rates of mammography services in primary care visits suggest that the obstetricians/gynecologists may serve longitudinal role in care for the patients. The result indicates that obstetricians/gynecologists identified themselves as primary care providers for about 20 percent of patient visits and four million outpatient clinic visits nationwide.
