Don't ask, don't tell: a change in medical student attitudes after obstetrics/gynecology clerkships toward seeking consent for pelvic examination on an anesthetized patient

Article Abstract:

The authors discuss the decline in the importance for medical students to seek permission from the women patients before conducting pelvic examination while the women are anesthetized. The researches have come to the conclusion that obstetrics/gynecology clerkship directors should make sure that this examination can be performed only if the patients give consent explicitly.

Metoclopramide pretreatment attenualtes emergency contraceptive-associated nausea

Immunohistochemical detection of insulin-like growth factor type I receptor and uterine volume changes in gonadotropin-releasing hormone analog-treated uterine leiomyomas

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on insulin-like growth factor type I receptor expression in uterine leiomyomas. The authors have demonstrated that the shrinkage in uterine volume after gonadotropin-releasing hormone analog administration is due to the reduction in insulin-like growth factor type I receptor levels.
