Effect of soy protein containing isoflavones on cognitive function, bone mineral density, and plasma lipids in postmenopausal women

Article Abstract:

Decline in estrogen levels in post-menopausal women coincides with the aging process, and tests were conducted to find out whether soy protein with isoflavones improves cognitive functions, bone mineral density and plasma high lipids. Around 150 women were tested for evidence that soy proteins are really wonder drugs as publicized, but no conclusive evidence was found to support this theory.

Cognitive and cardiac outcomes 5 years after off-pumps vs on-pump coronary artery bypass graft surgery

Article Abstract:

The effect of off-pump coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) and on-pump CABG surgery on long-term cognitive and cardiac outcomes is compared. The results have shown that avoiding the use of cardiopulmonary bypass had no effect on 5-year cognitive or cardiac outcomes in low-risk patients undergoing CABG surgery.
