Emerging therapeutics for chronic Hepatitis B

Article Abstract:

A study is conducted on the recent therapeutic advances against Chronic Hepatitis B (CHB), which offers an excellent potential for long-term suppression of Hepatitis B virus (HBV) replication during antiviral therapy. Results show that CHB therapy which involves combinations of nucleoside and nucleotide agents with interferon provides hope for effective viral suppression, extended durability and stop possibility of infection through conversion to a nonreplicative status.

Open surgical repair versus endovascular therapy for chronic lower-extremity occlusive disease

Article Abstract:

This review discusses the modality of treatment that best helps patients with claudication. Research shows that such patients can be initially subjected to conservative therapy followed by endovascular therapy if the disease is confined to the TransAtlantic Inter-Society consensus A or B lesions. Surgical bypass is done only when the above therapies fail or in patients with critical limb ischemia.
