Ending my pregnancy: waiting for a surgical abortion would have taken six weeks. I thought my heart might break by then

Article Abstract:

A woman who decided to terminate her days-old pregnancy opted to do so through nonsurgical means after learning that a surgical abortion can only be performed for a pregnancy that is at least seven or eight weeks old. She is grateful that ending the pregnancy was a swift process, knowing that the waiting would have been torturous had she decided on a surgical abortion.
