Examining the state of safety

Article Abstract:

The employers and industries have numerous challenges before them, as the number of workplace accidents increased in 2004. The increased number of accidents indicates the need of effective safety and health practices. The statistics of workplace deaths and occupational injuries in different industries are presented.

Landscaping industry

Article Abstract:

Potential growth of landscaping industry also brings safety challenges along with it. Need for spreading awareness about landscaping safety hazards is discussed. Initiatives taken to promote safe working conditions are presented.

A closer look: business services

Article Abstract:

The business services industry had a low fatality rate of 2.0 per 100,000 workers in 2001. The only area that recorded increased injuries in the business services industry is from harmful exposure.
