Experts work to prevent college suicides

Article Abstract:

An estimated 1100 suicides and 24000 suicide attempts occur annually among US college students aged 18 to 24 years. Colleges and universities need a best practices model for dealing with suicidal students, with clear policies for fully informing students about the necessity of revealing suicidal thoughts to prevent impulsive suicides, promotion of help-seeking behavior and providing adequate mental health services.

Researchers seek roots of pedophilia

Article Abstract:

Researchers claim that it is important to recognize pedophilia as a life long disorder and render a lifelong treatment for the same as a result of which they are on a look out for the factors contributing to pedophilia. These factors that contribute profound and lasting effects on abused boys and girls have implications for therapy as pedophiles might benefit from treatment in groups.
