Faculty and resident preference for two different forms of lecture evaluation

Article Abstract:

A study is conducted to compare the use of a novel lecture evaluation form (checklist form) with a Likert scale (rating scale form) for obstetrics and gynecology residents to evaluate core curriculum lectures give by faculty. Results state that residents prefer to complete the rating scale evaluation forms (67%), while faculty prefers feedback from the checklist evaluation forms (62%).

The effect of the lunar cycle on frequency of births and birth complications

Article Abstract:

The purpose of the study was to examine the influence of the lunar cycle on the frequency of deliveries and delivery complications. An analysis of five years of data demonstrated no predictable influence of the lunar cycle on deliveries or complications.

Postpartum depression: a comparison of screening and routine clinical evaluation

Article Abstract:

The Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale is effective in detecting women with postpartum depression, according to a study of 391 women. The scale consists of 10 questions and is easy to complete.
