A role for JAK2 mutations in myeloproliferative diseases

Article Abstract:

The article discusses significance of the application of the JAK2 inhibitor in the treatment of the myeloproliferative disorders (MPDs). JAK2 is found to highly reduce the growth of JAK2V617F mutations, which is found to be the factor behind the development of MPDs in most of the patients.

Inherited mitochondrial diseases of DNA replication

Article Abstract:

The article discusses various nuclear gene mutations that lead to changes in the mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) and causes several mitochondrial diseases in humans. These genes act as the proteins of mtDNA replication or provide the required precursors for the replication.
