Glorious technicolour? It's not that black and white

Article Abstract:

There are mixed views about the value of telemedicine. According to Dr. Grant Kelly, a general practitioner from Chichester, UK, there have been too many costly, ineffective trials in the national health service. He accepts that telemedicine is good for remote areas but does not advocate it in places where there is efficient use of consultants. The clinical director af the accident and emergency department at Pinderfields and Pontefract Hospitals NHS Trust, Michael Playforth, points out the advantage of a link between the two hospitals for diagnostic purposes.
