Stem cell researchers ponder worst-case scenario

Article Abstract:

The scientists have begun to dread the impact of a potential ban on federal funding for human embryonic stem cell research in the United States. This ban on federal funding for human cell work would raise serious problems for scientists and might criminalize developmental biology since, a lab using private funding for stem cell research would risk breaking the law by transferring stem cell DNA or RNA to cells in federally-funded projects.
